University of Oregon Head Coach, 2002 Pac-10 Coach of the Year

Coach Kent lets you in on the continuity offense and quick hitter set plays that have broken nearly all of Oregon's offensive records and helped produce coveted first round NBA draft picks. Kent first delivers his continuity half court motion offense that also can be used as a secondary break. This offense creates lots of movement that will give your team great looks and various scoring opportunities. Kent walks you through seven scoring options and also demonstrates continuity motion offense live versus a defense. He then demonstrates how to setup the offense in transition. This offense is outstanding because it gives players the structure they need to be a successful cohesive unit. Kent then demonstrates 10 man and zone quick hitters that will give your team the advantage in critical game situations. Each play has multiple scoring opportunities, allowing you to get the player you want the ball in a position to score. Plays are run out of box and 1-4 sets. Each play is demonstrated 5-on-0 and against a live defense. Kent ends the DVD by offering insights how the game is changing and how to adapt your coaching style to the players of today. An excellent teaching tool from one of the stars of the game today!

Coach Kent talks about what it takes to develop a great transition team at any level. Kent begins with five variations of a drill to condition your players as they master the Oregon transition offense. Kent then breaks down the Oregon Secondary Break called "Warrior," which allows any player on your team to score from anywhere on the court. He walks you through "Warrior" from the beginning and then provides a glimpse into the Ducks' playbook by demonstrating a few different variations of the Secondary Break. This is the same offensive system that has produced three NCAA tournament appearances, two NIT Final 4 appearances, a PAC-10 Championship, a PAC-10 Tournament title and three NBA First Round Draft Picks. Kent finishes by showing how to use the Secondary Break against a 2-3 zone.
